Hi my name is Heather!
I am a Christian wife and mother of two, I lean more toward ‘old fashion’ in my way of homeschooling and keeping the home. I am also a bit ‘crunchy organic’. :) (I love the ‘homey’ warm feeling of wooded frames, mason jars for glasses and cloth napkins for meals.)
We are currently homeschooling our children using the Charlotte Mason method, which I love because of the excitement and appreciation our children gain from using “living books” and hands on learning. We began our journey two years ago. Though we have only begun our homeschooling adventure, I am using this site to note what works for us and share what inspires me as well.
My hope for this blog is to inspire and encourage you, and show how you can apply a nineteenth century educators method, to our now modern lifestyles! I sure don’t know everything about homeschooling or Charlotte Mason, so if you have some wisdom to pass on feel free to comment or email me!
Thank you for getting to know me, and I look forward to sharing with you our successes! To those of you who are “old hands” at homeschooling, BRAVO! You are an inspiration to me!
I would love to hear about your homeschooling journey! You can send me an email @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
